The Brief

Teramount, acquired by Molex, develops silicon photonics packaging for high-bandwidth optical connectivity in AI data centers and high-performance computing. Its new cleanroom in Jerusalem needed engineering supervision to get the mechanical work, contamination control and schedule right.

What We Did

  • Construction supervision: engineering oversight and quality control on site, checking the contractors’ work against the mechanical, electrical and architectural drawings.
  • HVAC and environment: supervised installation and balancing of the air handling, HEPA filtration, laminar flow and pressure cascade for photonics assembly.
  • Clean utilities: monitored the hook-up and integrity testing of the process gases, clean dry air and vacuum.
  • Commissioning and hand-over: site walk-throughs, snag lists and construction quality audits before commissioning and hand-over to ISO cleanroom standards.

Result

A cleanroom built to specification and handed over to ISO standards, without costly rework.
